DeBorde Academy

DeBorde Academy tutors are experts in their content areas either by formal education or by significant experience. More importantly, all DA tutors share a Christian worldview that governs their teaching. Our mission is to support

Christian homeschool parents and to partner with our families by providing academic, biblical, and arts-based classes.

Our History

With a heart to support local Christian homeschoolers, DeBorde Academy began in a Spring Hill basement in 2019. There were seven students and four classes. Today, DA meets in Cool Springs and offers over 25 classes covering the main core subjects for middle and high school and select classes for elementary students. All classes are a la

carte and students can take one or more classes. DA also believes in the importance of community. Our parents host several social events throughout the year, such as prom,

other middle and high school dances, a Christmas party, and game nights.

Our Classes

Our course offerings include all core academics and many enrichment classes, such as Art, Voice, Guitar, and Theatre. Each week, students meet with their tutors. Class time is spent doing activities that can’t be done at home, such as

lab work, group discussion, or the explanation of a difficult concept. Students are then provided with a homework guide for the week’s work and all assignments and tests are assessed by the tutors. Parents always have access

to student assignments and grades and are required to monitor their child’s progress.
