Course Description

Living Set Apart is a Biblical Studies class that helps middle school students understand what it means to live set apart as followers of Christ. The early teen years are an important time when students begin discovering who they are and what they believe. In this class, students will explore how faith can shape their choices, friendships, and character while learning how to navigate the social pressures common to school life.
Students will explore scripture and participate in open discussions on biblical concepts like speaking life, renewing the mind, guarding the heart, prayer, and seeking biblical wisdom and the guidance of the Holy Spirit when facing everyday challenges.
This class is meant to encourage students to choose character over popularity, kindness over bullying, speaking encouragement over gossip, humility over pride, and choosing life giving friendships versus bad influences, and etc.
The ultimate goal of this class is to help students grow in their relationship with God and learn how to reflect Christ in the way they think, speak, and treat others.
