Course Description
This class will review American literature from America’s colonial days to the present. Drawing from essays, short stories, novels and dramas, students will be able to recognize a developing American literary voice and style and they will be able to see how this voice reflects the growth and development of the US. Attention will be given to advanced grammar, essay-writing, and vocabulary.
Homework Expectation
Academic Class: Expect 2-3 hours a week of homework, depending upon the student’s reading and writing pace.
